I replaced the friction disk last night and had an 'extra' spring at the end of the job.

2 springs had to be removed to replace the friction drive. One was put on the gear side of the drive disk to hold the friction disk assembly against the drive disk.

There were holes on the non-gear side of the friction disk assembly for a spring but I could not stretch the spring far enough to put the spring there (it was a smaller spring with the same shape).

Is there supposed to be a spring on each side of the friction disk assembly?

If not where would the other spring go?

The blower seems to run OK. I was able to blow off 5" of snow after putting it back together without the one spring.

HELP?

I purchased the blower used, in 1984. It is a very good runner and blows the snow well. If anyone has found a manual for this type of blower I'd like to get a copy.

Model CH-584-6 (or similar)
Series 7510

Wow, That would be Great!

This is the first discussion board I've posted a message to so I'm not real sure how they work. My e-mail address should be associated with this note so you can either send me an electronic file or if you send me an e-mail I can reply to you with my address.

Thank You!
