I want to tap your memories here...

I am about to embark on the restoration of a David Bradley 2-14 trip plow. All of the remnants of paint on the plow look to be the pale David Bradley green, so I am inclined to believe the plow was all green. Does anyone remember enough to confirm the color of the David Bradley plows? I believe it to be from the 1940's, as the plow is equipped with rubber tires. Also, what was the wheel color?

I never found any pictures of the David Bradley plow. I would paint the wheels red or yellow. Here's PPG's paint codes for tractors I'm sure there should be a grren that's close. Some of these paint stores can get a close match if you have a part that's still painted. I think they scan the color. Hal

David Bradley plows were always painted with a RED frame and LIME GREEN wheels. If your tail wheel is all steel, that's also GREEN. If you have a rubber tire for a tail wheel, paint the rim GREEN. If you found mostly green everywhere on the plow, it might have been repainted somewhere along the way. Any red will work, I use IH 2150 RED for the frame, and DEUTZ-ALLIS SPRING GREEN for the wheels. Use a dark colored primer on the wheels so the green won't appear so bright. That's as close as you can get. This knowledge comes from three generations of selling, serviceing, and collecting David Bradley equipment.
