Just brought home a Duetz-Alliss 5215 with 4x4 Hydro Drive. First does anyone know who made this tractor? Bolens 4x4"s were made by Iseki for example... Then the next issue. The PTO is dead. There is a foot clutch even though it"s a hydro. When foot clutch is pushed the hydo stops. Also this would be the time to engage the PTO. When you let the clutch out the hydro engages/motion will begin but the PTO shaft only attempts to move. I don"t think on this little tractor its a 2 stage clutch is it? I"m sure the shifter linkage is working due to at low idle if you shift the PTO lever with clutch out, gears grind a little & the PTO lever goes into place & the PTO shaft jumps a little. Before I rip into it & likely take her apart further than necessary, anyone have any ideas as to what the dead PTO problem may be/what to look for?

Manufacturer was Toyosha Hinomoto. Your friendly neighborhood AGCO dealer may print out copies of the parts breakdowns and repair procedures for you if you talk real nice. I believe 1989 was the last year for the 5215 so you may want to make sure all the needed parts will still be available before you tie up your repair space with a disassembled tractor.
