Good evening, I hope that I will not be interupting your time here. I live in western France and am collector and repairer of Tractors.

A little problem has occured. On a little Fahr with a 2 cylinder Gueldner engine about 40 years ago the screws fixing the big end caps to the con rods came loose on one cylinder and the shells got up behind the cap. The crank is scored up and needs grinding and the shells need replacing.

Fine up to now, but I have dismantled the engine apart from getting the flywheel off.

It is held in place bu a sort of split cone system which needs a special threded puller to get it off.

I wonder if anyone of you has ever come across this sort of engione and or problem and can advise me at all?

I will take a photo and post it tomorrow.

Thanks very much, I look forward to a shoal of replies!!!

Link

they should be able to help You out

Gueldner and Fahr had a cooperation about sharing components.

I.E. The Gueldner Tessin was the same tractor then the Fahr D 132 W.

The first Dieselengine from Gueldner in a Fahr You can find in 1948.

Thanks very much for the links, the second, Gueldner.DE didn't reply when I asked to be included in their forum, I think they only want German speakers.

I will try the other you have suggested, thank you again very much for helping.

Pat

Hi Pat, nice to see you again, how are you getting along with that Renault "Vingneron" model that you acquired recently?
