Weldin Man below gave you some good advice. There never was any records about what serial numbers on the assembly lines were allocated to Cockshutt (other than most of them were) and to Coop (or to Farmcrest, etc). So a Cockshutt is really as much a Coop as any other one really. Get a Cockshutt 30, much easier to fine and probably cheaper ..... up here they are a dime a dozen, well maybe not that cheap but I bought a good running one 10 years ago for $600 and it had brand new rear rubber. On the other hand, the red and cream Cockshutts put the ugly orange-colored Coops to shame in my opinion, why not go for a Cockshutt 30 instead?

your right in most parts of the country. This is for my brother in indiana . back there i have never seen a red 30 cockshutt ,they were all orange. The last co-op or cockshutt dads bought in 1956 (at least purchased from co-op elevator ) came in red and was a cockshutt, one of the best lookingt tractors I ever drove. has adjustable rear wheels on sliding axel wide adj front and had the buldge on engine casting which we never knew what it was for till in north dakota i seen a cockshutt with perking diesel where a fuel filter fit in the buldge. We were told it was the last cockshutt 40 with buda engine sold in indiana. I have tried to locate this tractor for 30 years with no luck as I do not have the serial number,
