My father has an old backhoe made by Davis Manfacturing company in Witcha Kansas. The only info I have on it is model# D1A and seral# 1252.
Anybody that could help me find a parts list or manual on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, James.

James, Massey Ferguson bought out Davis in about
1959. I have some books but the earliest model I
have is a Davis 185 or 220. The 185 has 2 cyls. to
pivot the backhoe boom. The 185 also has a hyd.
valve body that is one casting rather than bolt
together individual valve bodies. The 220 has a
rotary cyl that turns the hoe. Do you have a picture? Chuck
