Antique Power Magazine did an article on these tractors in the past. You can purchase a back issue with this article. Just go to the Antique Power website at www.antiquepower.com for info.

They were manufacured by the R.H. Sheppard Co. In Hanover, Pa., just outside of York. My memory is that there were 3 models, the SD-2, SD-3 and SD-4. All were diesels, with the number suffix indicating the number of cylinders. These tractors were produced shortly after WW2 into the early '50s. There was also a conversion kit available to retro fit the Sheppard motor into Farmall M's.

I think I may have some additional info in my files. E-mail me if you want me to look and I can check over the weekend.
