Does anyone have any information on these tractors? I just inherited one with a sherman power digger backhoe and dozer blade. I do have the operators manual with good exploded views of the various systems. Is there a following for these things?

Thanks
Dave

They were made in CA. Which engine is on your tractor. I saw one in the archives. Hal

I believe that it originally had a #5 Chrysler 50Hp industrial 4 cylinder. That's not what's in there now. It has gone through a few engines over the years. Infact the son in-law of the man who I got it from said it will probably need a new engine soon. They kept finding engines int he junk yard to replace with. I'll have to check to see what's in there now. I have a few pictures and I'll try to post them.

Thanks
Dave

Dave, did you hit the 4 key instead of the 6? My notes say they all came with Chry Ind'l 6's, the PH40 originally having a 31/4x43/8 (no engineID#).
There's a Russ Hill post, 9-14-99, in the archives (Lesser Known or Orph & Oddballs) with some history, and statement that Harris used dodge truck trans's (don't know how to make a link). Good luck.

I did make an error. The tractor originally had a 6 cylinder chrysler industrial 50 HP engine. There is actually a 6 cylinder chrylser industrial in it now that came out of a dodge dump truck. I've been told the tractor used a dodge transmission and a mack rearend to power the four wheel drive.

Those tractors would probably pull a heavy load.
Any problems with picture posting email them to me. Hal
