I was just reading some of your post and if you need parts for the Long tractors there are dealers all around Va. One that has will ship anywhere is-(e-mail)- oakesimp@gamewood.net - phone # 434-724-7338. He will be more than happy to help you with parts. I bought a new 2610 in April of 1997 and have been well pleased with the tractor. 64.5 HP and cut, rake and roll 70 acres of hay each year. I pull a 820 JD MOCO, 8430 CIH round baler and a new holland rake. I also use it to pull a 8 ft. cut-away or offset dick and 12ft. leveling disk. It has no problem handling any of this equipment. I have also pulled a 10 ft. no-till drill on hills reseeding pasture and hay fields. I would buy another one in a skiny minute. Have a neighbor that has had one since 1976 and still puts up all his hay with it. The one I bought in 97 cost me $13,500 with a canopy and loader attachment. Damn good tractors.

Link is for the web site.

I too am looking at a Long tractor--610. I know nothing at all about Long tractors and am concerned about the fact that they are basically not being used in my area. Does anyone know anything about the Long 610 particularly?

Need to know if parts are available for Long tractors. Will Ford implements work with the Long 360-C tractor? I am about to purchase one but i'm hesitant because i want a front end loader for it and i don't know enough about them to find a bucket for it.

I have a Long 360 with a Great Bend loader. You can get several brands in the right size to fit your tractor. Check with your local dealer to see what's available in your area.

I need to know the approximate price of a used Long 350 diesel tractor. Someone is asking for $3800.00 for one and I would like to know if this is a good deal. ALso, were there any problems with this model and are they the bottom of the tractor line, as I have heard?

NoWay! We have two Longs, both diesel, one current, one that's probably 20 years old. Both work in our business
everyday, with very few problems. Our guys do push, and abuse the equipment, and the Longs come back for more. Other than a broken tranny pawl on the old one (probably our guys' fault) we've never had a majorbreakdown.

Don't be afraid, buy one if you get the chance. NO problem with parts availability either.

Jim

You say you can find parts for your Long tractor? Maybe you can help me. I am looking for a replacement bearing for the steering box on a Long 445. I keep running into brick walls with no luck in finding this part. If you could help me I would really appreciate it. Also would you happen to know when they made the 445 tractor?
Thanks,
Mike

I've had my 26C Long for over 20 years. Used it for my vacation home-brushhogging, scraping, raking, and digging with a bucket. We've been permanently here since '94 and it's been used daily. Only problem I've had that was due to the tractor itself was a starter about 10yrs. ago. Right now, I've got to get it tuned up, doesn't want to stay in low idle-dies . I would definitely recommend a Long.
