I have two Roths Garden Kings that were made in 1946. I have been collecting Serial numbers from these tractors along with other info. Anyone owning one of these tractors please email me with your tractor serial number and I can provide a little information that I have found on these tractors. lurecarver_23@yahoo.com
Thanks
Justin

I just aquired a Roth model W serial number 7402907. It has a Wisconsin AKS motor and a sickle blade mower on it. I would appreciate any information about these machines. Might even entertain offers to purchase from a more serious collector than I am (I collect David Bradley's just Picked up this one by chance).

I am glad to find out that there are others out there who are interested in the Roth Garden King! I happen to own two such tractors (actually, one Roth model W and one Spiegel model SW; they are the same thing) and use the Roth routinely in the garden with the plow and toolbar cultivator. When I bought the Spiegel, the seller told me that this company (Chicago, Ill.) bought Roth. My Spiegel is in unusable shape and I am planning to use the differential gears to replace the worn-out gears in the Roth. I would also like to use the wheels to add dual tires to the Roth. The construction of these tractors is impressive: ten Timkin bearing sets (no bushings here!) and all cast iron. It is one of the sturdiest walkbehinds I have ever seen but they do give a person a workout in the garden.

I have an brosure of the tractor called the Country Boy Manufactured by Roths Industries Inc. in Alma Mi.the wheel sizes were rear 6X16 or 7x16 the front were 16x4 the weight of the tractor was 700 lbs. This add was from Roths Tractor and Equipment 25048 five mile Detroit Mich. I am sure the place no longer is in business. The overall length was 74 inches, the width was from 31 1/2 to 36 inches being variable the hight was 40 inches.this looks to be a very wel built tractor the picture I have showes a snow blade on the front of it.I would love to find one or even see current pictures from owners, and learn moer about the company and what they had to offer.
