Hi All, I'm trying to ID the transmission on this tractor. They were built mid '50s to early '60s. The engine is a 4 cly gas with a two cylinder compressor cast in one block. The engine is made by Leroi/WABCO ( Westinghouse Air Brake CO in Sidney Ohio) This unit was intended for construction sites and road building.

Common attachments were a front sweeper brush, loader or a plow blade. Years ago I adapted a loader from a 8N Ford using a electric hydraulic pump for power. I'd like to add a rear PTO and belly mower. The trans has a casting nub where the PTO would exit. The parts manual I have shows a rear and side PTO option.

I don't have access to a scanner to send a trans case picture. Any ideas or any web sites I should check?

Thanks

The tractor is a Centaur. Try looking for info on this company. "Antique Power" magazine did an article on the Centaur tractors some time back. You might check their website at www.antiquepower.com.

have a parts and service manuel for the tractor you describe. I have one .It has a Allis -Chalmers motor as they were under contract from Leroi to furnish the motor.
