I've never heard of it before, but there's one I see everyday on my way to work. I never knew what it was and was always in too big a hurry to stop. Well, Saturday I took the time to look it over. It's long, has a 4 cyl flathead engine with the distributor sticking straight up out of the middle of the head. It has two blades on it, a belly mount grader blade and a front pusher blade. No pto and no seat, just a platform to stand on. This one is painted "construction yellow" and has an old rental company sticker on it. Doesn't look as though it has gone anywhere in a long time. The id tag says Huber-Warco, Marion OH, S/N CM2350, B/M M5210. The carb is a Marvel-Schebler like on the old Fords. Anyone have any info on this tractor or the company?

Sounds like a Huber Maintainer. Huber made farm tractors and road construction equipment (such as road rollers) in Marion, Ohio before World War II. After WWII it focused on construction equipment. Somewhere along the line, after WWII, Warco bought the Huber firm. It's no longer in business, and most of the factory is gone. The Huber Maintainer is still being built by an unrelated firm in Galion, Ohio. There's a great museum for Hubers in Marion. The Marion, Ohio website has information on the museum.
