I own a 4006 Deutz tractor. I am having problem with the hydraulic system lifting the implements high enough, especially my discs. Is anyone else having this problem and is there some kind of maintenance I could employ? I thought I had the wrong lift arms on the tractor since I bought it used, but I am not sure.

I have also have a 40-06, I am not sure of raising heighth, but they will not operate a loader correctly unless you install a pto pump.Deutz offers a larger replacement pump but it is still marginal with large loader cyl.Back to your delima,I have had no problems with my lift, although some of the larger tractors had a lift safety to keep drawbar away from pto. This has a adjustment on both sides by lift arms,a bolt toturn in or out.this little tractors are very good and TOUGH,the only complaint is it needs agear between high and lo,4-lo to slow/1-hi to fast.I dont know if I helped you or not, hope so. For any parts, srevice or info call Walts Tractor, they have delt with Deutz since 60s and talk to Wally 1 -417-632-4364.

I own several of these tractors, all model 8005. They are roughly an 80 HP air cooled 6 cylinder naturally aspirated diesel. They are incredibly economical but parts are hard to find, they're hard to work on and they have a weak hyraulic system and power steering box. They were widely sold in Canada by Co-op Implements but were never sold as Co-op tractors, unlike the Volvo's they also sold. Hope this helps.
