Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. I'm in the middle of rebuilding a 4 cylinder deisel engine out of a Long tractor and am trying to locate a service manual so I can complete the job correctly. I don't have the model of the tractor itself, but I think it may be a 510 crawler. I've been trying to get a manual through the manufacturer, but they say they can't help me unless I'm sure of the model. The tag info. on the block is VTB Tractorul, Brasov, Romania, Model# D-121.050 The first part of the casting numbers is 1981. Any ideas?

owner manual. Thanks

Sorry I did'nt get in here to check my mail til today, they been running me ragged.(retirement--right)
If you still need info, email me and I'll call and aggravate my buddy over at the Long shop.
I have'nt bothered him lately and I thank you for reminding me. I should check on old friends more frequently, he may have opened a new keg of nails or something.

The crawler is a 610 not a 510. 510s were only 3 cylinder.

I have been a Long dealer for 20+ years. I don't recall Long ever having a shop manual for their crawler tractors. However, if it is a 510, the engine will be the same as in a wheel tractor. I can get you a manual for any Long wheel tractor. Email me if interested.
