It is rumored to have been made in Salem, Ohio. Rumored date:1929 It has only 3 wheels. The 2 rear wheels have independant brakes. Any info appreciated. John

Yes I have heard of Quaker Mule tractors and in fact I have one. They were built in Salem Oh. Mine has a 1936 P-27 Lauson engine. It's a cast iron one cylinder 8hp. I still use it to this day. I have harrows and a 10" single bottom plow with it. I used to have a set of gang mowers but unfortunately I got rid of them. It has a car rear end and transmission from a model-A ford. It does have 3 wheels. The engine has a magneto. I think there were two models. I believe mine is the big one. I am looking for a repair manual or a spec sheet for the motor if you know where I can get one I would be grateful. Hope that helps.....Pat

The Quaker Mule was built in Salem, Ohio, by the Grate Machine Co. during the early 1950s.

Mine still runs well. I don't know what they're worth but I was offered $500 and turned it down. Pat
