i have a 1935 silver king wide front with the serial number 1313. i am wantin to resore it so what is the original color

Silver King collector has it right, anything close to silver is possible. serial no. 1313 is a 1936 tractor, most of the one's I've seen tend to be pretty close to a "normal" silver. If you can find a place were there is some paint left under the grease or oil you might get something pretty close. That's how we did our 1936 R-38. If it was a hiway mower though it could have been any color. Good luck.

Bill, the original color for a silver king is "king". Any shade of king you like. Have talked to a gentleman who worked at the factory - they used an aluminun paint, which was mixed by whoever was working the job that day. It could be anything from a golden color to an almost white aluminum color, depending on how much aluminum they tossed in the mixer. Just pick something you like. - Sky King
