Has anyone had experience with 4/65 engines cracking liners at the top. Also cracks in the engine block webs between cylinder liners. Is this common? Does it mean replace block, or can block be reused?

Bob,
Yes the 4/65 did have a problem with cracking at the top of the liners. They also get "metal worm" around the seal at the bottom. Have had the problem with mine and looks like I have a slight weep again. The cracks in the centre web are more of a problem as these will tend to open under vibration and heat from normal use. I would try cleaning the area around the crack and in the crack itself. Then apply a molecular metal such as made by Plastic Pading. This should hold it for some time.
regards

Brian.
