*I would like to know where I might go to get parts for this brand of tractor. Does the SATOH MFG Co. still exist. Can I get manuals for this Model S650G SATOH tractor. Does anyone know how old this tractor is.Any other information will be appreciated.

Satoh was bough out by Mitsubushi. The Case International compacts from the 1980's are basically the same tractor. Some Case IH dealers carry parts for the tractors.

Hi John, I am by no means an expert, I happen to own the same tractor. the engine is a mazda, satoh used it before they were bought out by mitsubishi as far as I know. I found a parts place in Coraopolis, Pa called Stull Tractor Parts that seem to have a supply of Satoh stuff if you have the wallet for it. Napa carries the tune-up parts and I have some info if you need it.
Also, alternators can be had at local auto/electric repair shops that rebuild alternators and starters and such. good luck, I really like my tractor, it is a mule, but maintenance is a critical factor. I got a manual from the yesterdays tractor sight that is pretty good for a photo copy. RC

I just purchased a satoh tractor. I bought it as is. I've had it for 5 months now and am just starting to be able to work on it. It came with a front end loader. A guy had trouble with the motor and put a toyota camry motor in the tractor. he passed away before he could finish it. The fly wheel on the motor is turning but not the engine. The tractor I have looks like the picture by John Kramer except my headlight is in center of tractor. The mans son I bought the tractor off of said it dug really great with old motor, which i still have also.

Thanks for the information about my Satoh tractor being built in the 70's by Mitsibshi, but now I am confused as another person had e-mailed me that the Satoh S650G has a mazda engine in it. Does this mean it was built by Mitsibshi and they put a Mazda engine in it. Please help clear this up.
