I have a 1948 model D Leader tractor, the tractor has a 4 cylinder Hurcules motor and a 3 speed trans., there is a 3 point hitch and belt driven pto. I have the original paper work and repriented owners manuals. The probems are the motor is frozen and the electrical system is not in the best shape. I was wondering if anyone out there has information on parts or manuals for rebuilding this motor and or restoration in general. I saw in the photo section of Y.T. that someone els has a Leader so maybe they would contact me. any help would be appriciated.

Joe,

I'm trying to restore one myself. Could you tell me what color of red paint he used and where you can get it?
Also, are there any decals that go on these tractors?
Thanks.

I have just gotten a Leader tractor this weekend. Have you found out any more information on your tractors? Mine is a 1940's model also. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
