Ray,
They were a tractor popular with the market garden enterprises and fruit growers here in England.
BMC looked at it to give them a small tractor in the Nuffield range but nothing came of it. The company also made a range of walking tractors, the BMB Hoemate and Plowmate. I own a Plowmate and it was a killer to operate. When you engaged reverse and applied power, the control handles would end up 6' in the air with you hanging from them.

The BMB tractor did have a Morris engine.

We have a magazine here called Tractor and Machinery published by Kelsey Publishing,Cudham Tithe Barn,Berry Hill, Cudham, Kent, England. TN16 3AG or www.kelsey.co.uk/tractor.

BMB's are frequently advertised or discussed here. Parts and tractors are advertised for sale.

regards
Brian

I have a horizontally opposed twin cylinder Villiers based 2T British Motor Boat engine which I am told is BMB before they became Brockhouse. It is for sale and will be at Dorset c. 28/8/01. I also have a few BMB oddball bits and a half respectable Garner Tractor with implements. I am looking for Gutbrod Motostandard tractors, parts and implements.
