Have a model 10/42. It's a three cylinder diesel, Does anyone have any info aon these tractors? This one is an original, with slightly worn paint. Anyone know the value or where I could find out what it's worth? Thanks.

Ha

Nuffield tractors were manufactured in England by Brittish motor company and named after Lord Nuffield, your tractor will be fitted with the 3 cyl perkins diesel engine.the tractor was probably manufactured in the 60's, production was moved to Scotland in the early 70's after the company was taken over by Leyland and finally closed in the 80's, the drawings were then sold to Marshall special vehicles who stopped making tractors in the late 90's.Value approx £600-800.
They are not a popular or rare tractor in U K.
Hope this helps you out, if you want more info send me serial number and I will try and narrow it down to an exact year.

Robert,
Think you are a little out on your engine. The engine fitted from the Nuffield 3 right the way through to the 3/45 was a BMC not a Perkins. Perkins were still indirect injection until the late 60's except for engines like the 4.236 and 6.354.
My books give the engine as a 2.8 3 in line BMC Diesel, type 28T and to quote the workshop manual: "The BMC 2.8 litre diesel engine is a three cylinder unit similar to the 3.8 engine except for the number of cylinders".
regards
Brian
