Cockshutt tractor

Hi..Looking for help identifing a cockshutt tractor. My husband got a cockshutt tractor from his grandfather.. He was told it was a golden arrow..but in reserching this I don't think it was..we think it is a 1953 model 40 cockshutt. The serial number on it is #9822 can anyone help me figure out this?? thanks for any help!!

If you got the serial number off the left side of the frame on the top. It should say 40 then the serial number. With the serial number you listed its a 1952. Does it have a narrow front or wide front? Golden Arrows were made in 1957 with only 135 being made, and their serial numbers started at a higher number. There are 3 cockshutt web sites that I know of,
