I have a little gardenmaster tractor that idles just great but when you start moving it or putting it under any kind of load it just kills. It has always run excellent under any conditions and is kept inside and also just ran fine a month ago...anyone have any idea's?...I am inclined to think it has to do with the carb but don't want to fool with that unnecessarily...Thank you...

Mark, I'd go with your first thought-It very may well be fuel/carb related. I'd check the engine running a full throttle-does it kill over then? if not may be a governor issue does your gardenmaster have a governor? could be clogged fuel lines/filter. or a dirty carb. let me know what you find out, What type engine is on your tractor?

Frank...thanks for answering my post...I was pretty sure it was fuel related...as soon as you throttle it up it does kill. I never thought about a plugged line..this weekend I will start at the tank and lines and make sure fuel is getting thru ok. It has no plate that I can see but I am almost positive it is a Wisconsin engine. just curious..can a carburator get plugged up just by sitting around?...it has been about a month since i ran it...

Mark.
Yeah, sure can, gas can turn to varnish after sitting around for a long time and any little piece of dirt can plug the metering tube in the carb. Sounds as if it is running outta gas when you throttle it up. start at the tank make sure gas runs out freely when you open the valve and the bowl is clean. see if you can blow through the fuel lines all the way to the fuel inlet at the carb. maybe even arm yourself with some Gumout and remove air cleaner and spray around throttle plate and choke and any little openings you can find remove the fuel line and spray in that opening, too. let me know what you find out, GOOD LUCK
