The tag with all the information is on the transmission depending on the year it is on the left or right. Post the serial no. and we can tell the year or look it up yourself by clicking on serial numbers on the left panel. You may have to scrap off some crud to find the tag.

Hi again. The serial # is 8364 so I'm guessing '49 or '50? The engine is a Divco Super 4162, #4162C. I bought it a few years ago and it ran great but it's been on the back burner while I've been rebuilding a Case 530 Construction King. Quite an experience! Would like to get into the King again after that. Thanks for the reply and interest. I'll be checking on both forums from now on.

Well you have a continental engine 162 cu. Looks like 1950 only 150 made that year.

Larry, are you an owner or fan of Silver Kings? There were a few around here but from what I could see they were/are mostly used for tractor pulling. Maybe I'm different, but it seems these old boys should be babied in their late years. Work them but don't kill them. Anyways I'm glad I have it and look forward to working on it.

I guess i would say i'm a fan or want to be owner. A friend after hereing about my antique tractors and shows, affered to give me the silver king in his woods. When we looked we only found about 40% outside and overgrowne. We found another 20% in a barn. I have been looking for a way to complete it or find a better tractor to work on. Over the years i have collected a lot of info to help find the right stuff.
