I have 2 old LeRoi, two cylinder, flat head, gas engines. The oldest is number 76578, needs a mag.& a side cover for the lifters, engine is free (not stuck). The newer one is a model SRP6, with 4 inch stroke & 3 1/8 bore, SN 149488, this engine is stuck, but is complete with a EISEMANN mag. These engines appear to be power units, all self contained with neat little rounded hoods and mounted on steel skids, both have cast iron "potato" shaped mufflers, and lever type clutches and gear and belt drives. I would like more info on them. i.e. age, and value. If you have knowlege of these old engines, please E-mail me. Thanks in advance.

I just purchased a LeRoi Model MRP3 SN 132693 with 4.5inch stroke and 3.125 bore. It looks complete and in pretty good shape. I too am looking for information about these engines and will share it with you as soon as I find some.

My Dad and I are working on a small LeRoi. It Is part of a rock wool blowing set-up. It too has the hood and brass radiator. It also has a clutch set-up on the rear of the motor. The motor info is as follows: Model: VRP7, 3 1/2" stroke, 2 7/8" bore, Ser. No. 235593 . It was stuck also but luckely both pistons were at the bottom of the cyl. We soked them all winter with blaster,Mistery Oil, and Tranny fluid. We widdeled a block of wood to fit down in the hole and used a three pound hammer and wacked away. We got them free. The only thing wrog is we have a broken oil ring on one piston. The walls are in good shape. We have not been able to find out any info on this engine either.

I was wondering if you have had found anyone who knows about LeRoi's. My brother has a 1947 LeRoi Tractair. A friend who restores them told him it is worth a lot but won't tell him how much because he is interested in it. They are very rare and from what I have found out so far only a few hundred were ever built. If you can help us out at all let me know. Thanks for your time.
