Is anyone able to supply me with an almost infinite supply of information on the above. I have just acquired one (1968 model I am led to believe) complete with slasher deck, rotary hoe and grader blade, as well as various attachment bits and pieces. It has an 8 h.p. Howard single cylinder petrol engine, is belt driven to the gear box and then to the attachment from the P.T.O. It has high/low ratio, diff lock, 2 forward gears and reverse. I need info on fitting the attachments (not sure if all fittings have been included), clutch operation (it has been modified very crudely) servicing details including fluid levels, parts availablity (I live in Victoria, Australia) and a wiring diagram as it does not seem to be putting out any charge to the battery (as with the clutch, the wiring has been butchered a bit). Any other information would be most welcome. With thanks. Russell

I now have 30 paid up members as well as a composite list of around 100 enthusiasts detailing parts and literature availability. I have inmy possession manuals for 2000's at a cost of $10-00 plus postage($2-00) of which a donation is made to wellington high school for their assistance. Look in a magazine called The Old Machinery Magazine for Howard Register Listing. Good Luck.

I am after a workshop manual for the Howard H2000 GT 16Hp tractor-Motor Model No 408,wiring spec's and any information on these tractors and imploments.
The motor runs for about 10 to 15 minuets then looses power and stops, after a short while it will restart.
The spark is yellow not blue.
Are these engines posotive or negative earth.
yours thankfully John

I too have just purchased an old Howard 2000 from the sixties.
It is missing the underneath cutting blade and Also missing a PTO belt.
Do you have, and if so how much??

At present I don't have more details as I'm at work in Sydney and the tractor is in Kempsey.
