I'm looking for information about the manufacturer of the Hefty Hi G Tractor ,including address and phone number. It is reported to have 48" clearance under the frame. Are there any out there?

I know that there is a model G Hefty tractor, and I know they had different configerations of other models. The model G looks like the Allis model G and I have been told tools are interchangable. They also made a model F and a hi clearance model FW.They also made a 16 hp garden type tractor model # 1616.The model G AND f used a continental 4 cylinder engine,I think about 20 hp.I was told they also made a model LNT off set model.Im not sure, but I think the name of the company that made them was Hasse Gear and Transmission Co.These tractors were made in Juneau WI as far as I tell from early to mid 70s.The company went down the tube sometime in the 70s.I have never seen a model G or F other than in pictures.A fellow in town here has a model 1616 with a loader. He has it for sale and been trying to sell it to me,thinking that I would the right guy seeing that my last name is Hefty. If it were a model G or F I would grab it.Hope that I was of some help to you.Gene

Gene I appreciate the information you submitted.
Do you have a reference book from which you gleened this information? I came across some other items on the web that inferred that another company in the Juneau WI area may have purchased the tooling for producing Heftys. Do you have any knowledge of this? Several years ago in a classified ad I saw a Hefty HI G with 48" clearance, diesel engine and adjustable spacing.
Of course I didn't act. Rob

It's me again just now getting back to you.No the information that I have on Hefty tractors is not from an referance book but from a couple of people that have had them for sale.I don't think they were experts nither. Since the last message I sent I got a chance to look at tag on that garden tractor that belongs to the fellow from town here.I was a little off on the name of the manufactor, the correct name is Holtan Axle and Transmission Company of Junano wi.Im' still tying to fined out more information on the company myself, willkeep you posted.Gene

We have several Hefty G tractors on our research farm at the University of Illinois. I am looking for a couple of parts for the rear axle, but I haven't had any luck. I think the motors are all Continental and I replaced the distributor last summer from Continental. They had it in stock in Ch

I own a Hefty G and I don't know much about it other than the motor was a Continental made by the French. It's about 46 cu.in. and the trans gears are made by Spicer of Toledo,Oh.
I ran into a guy who did work on them but after he put a bearing in the rearend of my hefty I haven't seen him since. All I know is he lives somewhere around Oh & Ind line. I wish I could locate him. He has books on the Heftys repair manuals and part #s. If I can find him again I'll post it on here.
