Looking for pictures or literature on Eimco Bulldozers from the early 1960s. They had the engine in the rear and the operator sat right up front. Not sure if Euclid or Terex bought them out. Any help in finding this data greatly appreciated.

I have a neighbor that owns one. Its a neat machine. I know another guy who has one that is in cherry condition I am told. He has some for parts too. They were a nice machine for their day. These machines belonged to the government when new. I know a little bit about them because I have been around when being worked on and used. They have two automatic transmissions and a V-6 GM engine. Shipping weight was around 43000 lbs. I don't know if that included the blade. Today is the first time I have seen someone inquiring about this machine. I also am looking for some info on these. They sound neat when they are running. You can here them a half mile away.

Boy do I have some stories for you. I actually operated a 103c model. Having operated other dozers I can tell you this; These "little" dozers will run circles around a D-7. They were the first dozer ever manufactured capable of counter rotating the tracks at the sametime. Up to this point all you could do was brake one side and skid a track. I operated mine in a flagstone quarry in northern arizona. Eimco is out of Salt Lake City, Utah. Their main line of products is for underground mining. They do not make dozers any more. Eimco had a military contract in the 60s and 70s producing a military dozer labeled the 105c. It was bigger in all aspects when compared with the civilian model 103c (mine). They had the big v6 detroits with twin stacks. Inbetween a D7 and a D-8, D or K series. As far as transmisions go, they're all allison parts insided but the casing are Eimco desighn. Eimco trannys are a 1 piece unit with 1 inputshafts and splits it down to 2 output shafts. Quite complicated, but it works damn good. civilian models had straight 4 detroits. Still a pushin' litte dozer. Back in the 60's Eimco mande the worlds biggest track loader. From what I understand, nobody has ever come close to the size of it, not even cat or kamatsu. If you want any more info, email
