I have a 1971 economy that has been rebuilt. and looks great! it has 20" wheells and its powerd by a crosley engine. the moter bolted right up to the transmistion and with some modifacation to the front it worked out very nice. the crosley is a 8 volt system and i will get some lights on it soon.

I have a 52' Power King Economy, has a lot of power and torque for it's size. Mine orginally had a 14 horse Wisconsin but somebody put a Kohler in it. I would put it up against a Allis_Chalmers "B" or Farmall "Cub" anyday. Go to TractorBarn.com to get decals and other parts for these. While your there click on the Gregg's Power King photowebsite(if your computer has speakers turn them on because they have sound clips of them starting up!). I could hardly believe it when I found out that there were better than 15 implements includng a loader, later models had 3-point, made for these. Finding these implements nowadays is like a needle in a haystack though. Not rare tractors or really Oddballs but uncommon. There is still a dealer about 60 miles north of me. Enjoy!

I have a 1972 Economy Power King and it also has a 14 horse Kohler in it. It has a 48" mower deck and a 3-point set-up on it. I have the original manual as well as paperwork covering some of the accessories for it. I live in central Illinois and the dealer I use is in Peru, Illinois just North of me on the Illinois river. I use the tractor all the time. It does a marvelous job of mowing, which is what I use it for the most. However, it could use a little more power. It has the double transmission setup and the rear transmission has always been a problem. It locks in gear and finally, I just leave it there and use the front transmission.

I think that the trannys in the Power Kings are the Borg Warner T-92. These were used in alot of things including Crosley cars that were made in the 40's and 50's. So there alot of them out there. Steve

Where can we find a 14 horse Kolher motor used or a kit to rebuild the one we have?
