Hey Chuck, Depending on the condition, I have seen Satoh's go for anywhere from $1500 to $3000 some with and some without implements. As for the steering wheel, whoa that's a tough one. I tore mine up and had a friend in a machine shop fashion me a new hub to mount an aftermarket steering wheel on. Herein lies the problem, not only is the steering column shaft tapered, it is also metric with a key way slot. He worked over 8 hours to make this piece up for me and because he was a friend he didn't charge me. (I did buy him some hard to get Devil's game tickets as repayment for his efforts, I lived in NJ at the time). I later thought, I should have given him the shaft and he could have made a new one of those and a hub in half the time, live and learn. Here are some parts suppliers I have contacted: Stull Ent. 1-800-229-7885 R&M 503-641-1865 Wengers 800-451-5240 Bill Rodgers at Valley Power 540-345-9650 Shuey Onoho Satoh 717-865-4893 Napa also carries tune up parts, I have a list I printed off this site. If you have a fax # I will be happy to fax you the info. Other parts such as radiators, clutches, heads, alternators can be rebuilt for a fraction of the cost of new. Just find a reputable shop that handles what you need and you will make out well. I had the radiator recored 2 years ago, not only did they modify it to work cleaner and better. They added an extra row of cooling tubes (there was space for them). Good luck and any questions I will be happy to try and help you. I'm not an expert by trade, I just bought one that I had to do a lot of work on. It does work like a mule though, as I always say, maintenance is key to your tractors survival. RC (sorry for the book length note)
