I am workin on a older Jacobson 11-hp/Briggs riding lawn mower. I have two problems I hope someone can help me with. First one is Engine cuts out after it seems to warm up aprox after 20 minutes of use. Able to re-start with difficulty afterwards but eventually doggs-out and poops, What can I do ?? Secondly I have a three blade mower deck all three worked ok last season, but this year so far only the center one spins with the engine, the side ones do not spin, but are movable by hand turning, I replaced the belt with a new one, help ??? Sound like your coil is going out. Need to replace it with a new style so that you don't have to use your points anymore.

You may have a two belt system on your mower deck. One belt drives the main quill in the center and the other belt fits around all three.
