Does anybody know what types of engines were installed in toro general tractors. Can different engines be installed without major changes?

SAE 5W 30 or SAE 10 oil. Uses any high-quality detergent oil with API SC,SD,or SE.

The auger gear box oil is 3 ounces of SAE 90 EP transmission oil.

I have an operator's manual if you have any other questions.

My brochure (from the 1960's) on Toro tractors states that the Toro General, ParkGeneral, Bullet, and Parkmaster models were equipped with a "Ford OHV 6 cyliner, 223 cid, Model # JF-1016, standard 6 volt electrical system." --- These were Ford "Industrial" engines. - - - - - I have other specs available if needed.

Bill! What year's or year?
Are you referring to the tractors that commonly pulled Gang mower's in let's say the 70's.
If this is what you are refering to.
They had 4cyl. perkins diesels. And General Motors 250 cu.in. Gas engines. That is around the late 70's they did. They also ran dual turfs on the rear instead of tractor tires.
It actually was built more like a truck tractor.
I am thinking it even used a conventional driveline.
