I keep a good selection of Howard 700 parts, including Villiers 28B and Hirth engine parts, fuses and manuals. I know of two new rotavator units for a 700. I log customers attachments for sale and wanted. If you have a problem ring me on (44)07836 210363, or write to me at Heath Close, Old Heathfield, East Sussex, TN21 9BN, England. My website is www.tillerparts.com.

I am in exactly the same position as Gerald Greenwood, above. I have been told that a HATZ Engine - No. E79 is interchangeable with the Hirth. Chester Hudson, East Sussex - 07836 210363, has told me 'they can be picked up for as little as £80'. They were made until recently, I gather. They were fitted to Bomag Vibrating Rollers. I have not found one - has anyone out there got one please? Or even a petrol engine for the Howard - or infact any engine that actually goes! If so would you be kind enough to e-mail me. Many thanks.

Hello

I am about to own a Howard 700 two wheel tractor.
It has a Villiers two stroke petrol engine and weighs in at about 350 - 400kg. We got it started but the clutch plate was rusted to the flywheel so in the end the clutch cable gave out - better luck tomorrow hopefully.

Other features are diff lock, plough and potato banker.

If you have any photos of this beast could you email me - any technical info would also be much appreciated.

Thanks

Paul Weeks in Exeter, Devon, UK.

My father in law and I are currently restoring a Howard 700 and have successfully rewound the ignition coil and have had the engine, a villiers 28B running on a makeshift exhaust. We need a complete exhaust system, a clutch cable, and a complete throttle cable. Please e mail any possibilities to me. You can download a service manual for the villiers from the internet on www.instruction-manuals.co.uk. And we have a copy of the owners handbook which could be photocopied, although I would not want to tread on Chester Hudsons toes as the hire fees for his manuals goes to a good cause.

Hi Drew-i recently bought a replacement injector complete from united diesel whose email address is info@uniteddiesel,co.uk-i found them really helpful-they provided what appeared to be a brand new injector/nozzle at a reasonable price-dealt with someone called Paul. How do you get on with the Hirth? i have pulled my 700 out of the garage and plan to give it some TLC tomorrow-i have rigged it up with a glow plug as an optional extra to the zunder-anyway hope this is of help

Hi Roger.I have just aquired a Howard 700,which isn't working at present.I am awaiting delivery of a Villiers handbook, but have had no luck with a copy of the owners handbook.I would be most grateful for a copy of your handbook and am willing to pay any fees necessary. Regards, Ian.
