I am interested in buying one of the new Struck Magnatrac tractors with the diesel engine. I would like to talk to someone who has one and find out your opinion of it. Thanks!

Have you checked the price on one yet? I know that the large gas model is over $16.000. you could buy a nice used skidsteer or 4wd tractor for that much, and have a more useful machine.

I believe the Strucks move to slow and for the money you can pick up larger equipment. I have been researching this for a while myself. A four wheel drive loader hoe is probably your best bet.

Also look where they mounted the radiator on the 6000. Not good!

I own a 6000 deisel and after almost one year
of brush clearing,tree topeling,digging and
working in soft areas that a 4-wheel drive
tractor couldn't go. I don't think the the Placment of the hydro cooler is a problem, at least it hasn't been for me.

A loader-backhoe combination on a small tractor doesn't have the digging capacity of the magnatrac
and a larger model can't work in close quarters or on soft ground the way a crawler can.
