Have a Michigan 55AG payloader. Picked it up as a toy. Seems to be sort of an oddball. Can't find manuals for it. Master cylinder is not there. If I had it I'm sure I could get it rebuilt or match it up with something from another Michigan or whatever. Any one have any ideas on where to search for manuals or a part number or part source for the master cylinder? THANKS!!

I have a 55 II would that be close to working.Years ago when my father bought a rebuild kit for it,they had all the parts to do both mastercylinders in the same kit. i would think you could put a truck master cylinder in if you had to.

This machine has only one master cylinder. No master cylinder hooked to a hydravac. One master, two lines comming off, no vacuum booster. Machine came with the master not in machine. Without vacuum boost it must be a chore to stop. Have 2 1960's Fords & 1 1955 Ford here. Both have one line out of the master. I think I can eliminate Ford trucks as a possible parts source.. Any other ideas? THANKS!!!!

Each machine only had one master cylinder, but they used differant ones depending on age.The one i have has a Y type of fitting on the end, which both brake lines hook to.Our problem was we kept braking the lines to the wheels and looseing the fluid. The master cylinder would then stick when it got dry. I would think a GMC master cylinder would work if you got a T fitting to connect both lines.
