My newly purchased Avery has serial # v756;what year is it and could this explain the presence of the spindle mounted wheels? What other Avery had these direct mount rims? Can anyone suggest a good source of parts? I really can't afford a parts tractor. THANKS

Try CORK LEMMON in Camden ,Michigan.Ole Cork has lots of parts and really a good guy, except for his cheating a little at our Avery Tractor Pulls(just kidding)

The number just in front of the V in the serial number will tell you the year of your tractor. 1VXXX is a 1947. Look at the serial numbers for the V on this web site.

My V serial # 1V-743 is a 47. It has the spindle mount fronts on an adjustable front axle. I have started restoring mine and have found most of the parts to rebuild the engine but I too am strugling to find either a resonably priced parts machine or a good source of salvage parts. I am also finding that the farther south you are the more common these little machines seem to be. My bad luck since I'm in southwest lower Michigan. If you find a source for resonably priced parts let me know!
