Hello,
This is a bit late but this is the first mention of Field Marshalls I've heard of on this site. I'm in Australia. Are there many Field Marshalls over there? As for your Marshall I start mine with the handle without any trouble. A lot cheaper and I think a lot easier on the machine.

Hi JD
If you have a shotgun shell reloader you can make them your self , use AA winchester cases (pic empties up at the trap club) If your interested contact my for info, it very simple . From the place in CA the guy charges $ 2.oo a piece ,the one's I make are 35 cent a piece. I was showing my tractor at the fair and demonstrated the starting proceedure 38 times with no trouble at all

Theres a guy in California who sells all kinds of ammo who sells them. Seems like his name is something like "The Western Scrounger" I bought two boxes from him. Got the 800 number from Antique Power or Gas engine Magazine. Email me and I'll find the invoice with the info.

Seems they were advertized in one of the tractor magazines, Antique Power perhaps...

Always save one for yourself in case it doesn't start. That way you can end your misery.

Marshall cartridges use pelletised black powder which burns slowly. A shotgun load will push your piston into the gearbox! Try Crawford, Boston UK for supplies.
