I have a Schramm Model 35 air compressor, Ser # 40404. It appears to have been manufactured from a Wisconsin V-4, using 1 bank as the compressor and the other as the engine. I can't find any information on this compressor, so don't know when it was built, if parts are still available, etc. I'd appreciate any information on this unit. I plan on using it, however, I suspect it has some collector interest, so I don't want to abuse it.

You can get most of the parts through NAPA or look in your phone book for anyone that supplies parts for air compressors. I also own a model 35 and did a major over haul about 5 years ago, we got all the parts we needed for it through a auto parts dealer by the name of Rodefelds Auto Parts.
You can also check with Wisconsin engines

We are looking for a 6 cylinder head to convert from air compressor to straight engine. The tractor is a 1960 125 shramm with an international rear section.

I had a Schramm "Pnuematractor" a short while ago. Tractor/Loader/ Back-hoe with a 6 cylinder engine made by Schramm hooked to a Farmall transmission/rearend. 6 cylinders, the conventional in front, 3 to the rear of the inline 6 for air power to a jack hammer or whatever. When you engaged the compressor/called for air, you pushed a rod that let the lifters collapse on the rear 3 cylinders & she pumped air. Once satisfied either by pressure or you pulled the rod, the lifters would pump up & the valves would stay open & the 3 rear cylinders just coasted. Was a middle 50's unit. Found Schramm through a Yahoo Yellow page phone search. They were still in bussiness but no web page. Had pricy parts available. A main bearing set for the engine for example was $1000..... I lost my interest in her after that.....
