Does anyone have any information on a Schramm mobile compressor Model COUH? Did Schramm cast their own blocks or did they buy then from someone?

While walking yesterday at a old farm house my father in law was preparing for sale I came upon in the wooded area what I thought was a old tractor...upon closer look it wasnt self propelled at all...and in fact there was three of these things..one was 2 wheeled, and 2 were 4 wheeled...and they had signs on them like taxis...
"schramm" i became curious of what my 2 yr old daughter and i had found..so i did a search and found your site..are there any pictures of these wheeled motor units out there?

curious..

Mike

Hi Tom, Yes, I got one of those beasts. Kinda like it. The engine/compressor is built by Schramm. I am wondering if they used internal parts made buy someone else, maybe cornbinder, such as pistons and crank. The parts book lists only the Schramm part number and Schramm as the source code. I have not had a lot of luck at finding aftermarket parts listed for it. I am looking for one of these that is apart so I can get numbers off parts esp. the crank bearings, as I will have to redo that and rings on mine some time soon. It is a neat unit for use on a farm as you can go to where you need air. For now, George Schermerhorn
