Hello,
We also have a Hatz tractor(made in Germany), but I think it is a smaller model than yours.
Of our model 500 were made but very few sold in Holland- there are about 5 still some people say.
I have a 12pk H113 Hatz tractor and we have NO problems obtaining parts for it's simple motor.
May I have a foto, please?
regards,

Kate and Henk

Hi Charles,

The Hatz tractors had been very good machines.
Most of them ran in the southern Part of Germany, cause the Company is established there. I'm gonna search the Link and post it here.Today, they built engines for construction equipment and other staff, also for smaller tractors. The Head-Quarter is Ruhstorff/Rott.

Bernhard, I don't read this board often, but hatz post
caught my attention. 2 years ago one of my customers came in with a 2 cyl hatz off of a cat vibratory roller, cat told him they don't repair,
they replace the engine. Dollar wise that was not an option. He found a hatz dealer and got the parts. Expensive would be an understatement. Connecting rod 300.00, gasket set 500.00 and did not have pan or timing cover gasket, had to make them. The only reasonable price item was flywheel ring gear 13.00. Customer said it ran well, but do to price and availibility of parts , he won't have another one. Price quote on crank was $1300.00 ,we got his reground , 75.00. Somewhat strange engine, con rod bolts go in from top instead of bottom, whole engine builds from bottom up.

I do enjoy your comments on the tractor talk board.

Hello, George!

I guess, You got the sameproblem with the Hatz engine, like we in Ger. with the B&S.
We use an Agria 400 K walk behind for removing snow. If You have to clean the carburretor it costs You a hour and a lot of nervs to do this.
You had to have 4! hands! And You have to search for a metric tool, that nearly fits the screws.
I believe You have no metric tools to work on the Hatz. But in Germany You'll find only Hatz or Farymann (Farny&Weidmann) engines on the smaller construction Equipment or in smaller tractors.
The price is the same Problem like at the other german stuff, I know that is is very expensive, but one time You've invested so much money and always take care of Your equipment, it will last for 10 or 15 Years and save You the money.
