I'm restoring a couple of old Ford tractors, an NAA and an 861, and both will require a moderate amount of sheet metal straightening. I'd like to invest in some decent body hammers and dollies, but don't really know what to purchase. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Jerry

I worked the auto body trade for nigh onto 50 years! The only good body hammers were the Fairmont brand! And the backup dollies, too. They are well balanced, have a good hammer face, and last for years! One time, i caught a mechanic using one of my body hammers to pound out a bolt, said act nearly cost him his life, they are that good! Rustyj

You can get a good set of body hammers from east wood. You wanna get a good set that wont score the face of the hammer because if you do get a cheap set like that every time you strike the metal the little imperfection will show in the sheetmetal everytime. So go to www.eastwood.com and they have a allot fo good stuff maybe you will see something eles there you like too.

Thanks for the info. I'll check out the site and see what they have. I'm beginning to learn what is so satisfying about pounding out dents. Thanks again!
Jerry
