I was wondering what kind of HVLP guns do you use? Where can I find a good one with a resonable price?

The Sharpe Cobalt primer and Sharpe Finix top coat guns are an excellent gun for garage or weekend painters.

To achieve the best atomization and finish, the Sata NR2000 and RP are great and I personnaly use the 3M HVLP for top coat and the Compliant for clear coat with the PPS system.

Sharpe just came out with a cheaper line called Finex. We have sold a few where I work and haven't had any complaints. They seem very well made and nicely balanced. They come with a metal cup. The gravity HVLP model sells for around $90
IIRC. I will buy one before I do another paint job. I am still using an old sharpe 775 right now.

Many sources, do a search. I use intermediate priced ones, Sharpe Cobalt primer gun cost about $130 4 years ago, refurbished Sharpe Platinum for less than $200, Sharpe touch-up gun for about $150. Lot of people say buy the cheap ones, but many have plastic tips and are not long-term guns. But, I don't think you need the $3-$400+ ones. I also have a no-name touch-up gun, air distribution is not correct, ok for primer. As with anything, you get what you pay for.
