I going to replace the grain pan on our 7720 combine. I've been thinking about powder coating the surface that comes in contact with the grain. I'm hoping it won't wear off like regular paint. Is this possible. Will the powder coat last longer than paint? Or will it wear off relativly quickly?

Powder coating will wear a lot longer than regular paint and it will withstand bending a lot better than regular paint

Powder coating is quite hard, but if you have it done on somthing that can flex it will crack moister gets in & it rusts or chips off.
