You can use DuPont 77s at a pint/gal dries that J.D. paint right up.I use it on some paint jobs when the customer doesn't want to spend for high dollar restoration.

Kevin, I was curious about your results with adding the hardener to the John Deere paint. I am thinking of trying this on a tractor I want to pull and play with but not show. I was wondering how it sprays and shines afterwards. Thanks

Sprays just fine. You might use a little less reducer.77s is as thin as reducer. My cost is 21.00$/pint.Your cost will very with the jobber. This will give you the added protection frome uv rays. Also keeps your equipment looking nice for a longer period.Like I said I use it on lower end jobs.I painted my 4430 J.D. about 10 years ago with J.D. and 77s still looks pretty good today!Try it you'll like it.Alkilid paint is so hard to get it to cure it needs something to help it along.Don't wax untill at least 120 days.Might seal over and won't cure.Any more ? post or if you need to talk to me post i'll give my #. Good luck Wilham Restorations
