I just finished my project and the paint looks beautiful - no runs -nice deep color - deep gloss. BUT it has a texture to it. I guess you could call orange peel.It really is border line on wether to let it go or not. Any experience with a resolution would be greatly appreciated. PS The orange peel is absolutely uniform. Not one square inch is gloss smoothe? TIA

I'm having trouble with the subject of your post.Acrylic enamel and urethane hardner don''t go together the last I knew.Could be a problem. Other causes of orange peel are too much fish-eye eliminator (for contamination),too fast reducer, too high air pressure, too little film build ,in the case of urethanes..too fast catylist. Before you paint, spray a test panel and once you know there are no problems, then spray the real thing.I have never had solid color acrylic enamel not lay out smooth. I hope you are not mixing brands or going generic, this also could create a problem.

Let the paint set for a couple of months and then take an electric buffer and compound and lightly buff. I think you can probably buff most of it out.
