What kind of paint is best for a JD 2-CYL Tractor. Has anyone tried the paint that YTMAG sells in their parts Dept.?

When you use the word "best", you open up a huge can of worms.Classic Green from your JD dealer is definately NOT the BEST.On the other hand, unless you are willing to spend 3-4 hundred on materials, and another 4-5 hundred on equipment (assuming you don"t have a supplied air respirator) then maybe JD Classic IS the best for your situation. The question then would be "what is the best paint to use in your particular situation? (ie, list your conditions, equipment, cost limitations, usage of tractor and expectations as far as looks and longevity of top coat. Some people will give you an answer without having the answers to these questions. Some of us won"t.

The classic paint from the jd dealer is the best bet. When you use the word "try" then if it doesn't work there is a lot of work to redo it. That would be my vote.
