HVLP cup gun question

The bottom on the 1 qt. cup on my gun is corroded. Can it be coated on the inside with an epoxy? What kind?

I only use water base paints. Mostly Fuhr acrylic lacquers.

If you are using a lot of water base you can order a cup for most guns that is teflon coated. We used to keep liquid mask in a gun all the time and it would rot the cups out. Finally we bought a coated cup and that took care of it.

Huh?

Shoot, I just pitched the cup and ordered another one. The feed stem has lost pieces of the nickle
plating too. $38 aint worth ruining a paying job over...
