Some one told me I should ad a small amount of Corn Oil to my John Deere paint to help make the paint shine. Experienced painter has done this for 5 years and always works, any body else? This guy also runs a small amount of kerosine with the gas in his J.D. G when he pulls it to keep the engine lubed, He wins most of the tractor pulls he attends.

If he has to add corn oil to the paint to make it shine then he is doing something wrong BIG TIME. Paints are designed to shine after drying as much as they shine before drying. True you may have to color sand and buff sometimes because of certain unforseen factors but adding anything to the paint mix other than the correct reducers, activators, ect. is asking for trouble. You might not notice trouble today but in a week, month or year from now the paint job will probably go bad on you and then you are left wondering why.

"Wonder if I should have used Mazola instead of Crisco?"
