I'm about to order one of these, after doing a search and finding it seems to have a "cult" status as the best of the cheap import guns - several coating companies actually recommend it for spraying their products, and a lot of users report it is very easy to use with several saying it works as well as their more expensive guns. Sells normally for $65 but often on sale for $39 as it is now. Mid size gun with 20 oz gravity feed. HF apparently even has different sized needles available for it.

Sounds like a good bet. Anyone tried one?

I bought one last week, but have not had a chance to try it out. A friend of mine has a Studebaker restoration business and uses these guns. He said he's used $300 guns and he can get just as good of a paint job out of a $30 HF gun... and these are beautiful paint jobs, I've got a 1961 Hawk out in the garage that's flawless and had no points taken off for the paint at the 2004 national meet. But it's probably a lot to do with the user... a professional painter can probably do a better job with a $30 gun than an amateur with a $300 gun. He rotates the guns out with each paint job, new out of box gun is color, next newest is clearcoat, next newest is primer, 4th gun is tossed in the trash. He just bought 6 new guns last weekend when they went on sale.
