I just got back from the LeSuer Pioneer Swap Meet here in MN and a guy was selling dollies to fix John Deere grilles. Does anyone have a similar product for the Farmall grille fins? - Jay

www.eastwoodco.com has a lot of things that may be helpful. Though not specifically made for your grill, they do carry a wide variety of hammers, dollies, and specialty dollies that clamp into a vise with shapes that might help you. It may also give you an idea of how to make some of your own tools. I some times use pieces of hard oak that I fashion in to tools I can hammer dents with and it"s easier on the metal than the sharp edge of a pick or edged hammer. It allows you to work out a dent more broadly. Wooden tools are typically used to remove dents in stainless trim on classic cars. Sometimes the pieces are backed up and the wooden tool lubed with grease and pushed back and forth sliding over the backside of the dent to work it out.

I have not heard of any. My extremely crude method consists of putting a bolt in the inside of the cross bars and whopping it with a hammer. So far I have been lucky and not had really messed up ones. Also have not had damage on the curved portion. I do have a warped 460 grille that I have had one heck of a time getting "mostly" straight. Amazing how one small dent can mess up the whole thing.
